As tempting as it is to start that rumor, probably not happening. We're focusing on the HD line instead.

I knew it! Keep it rolling.

Bring on the Sennheiser HD 7XX, HD 700 with HD 650 style tuning (except with more extended sub bass). That would sell out fast :)

6XX would be awesome too, but I think the (at least significantly) extended sub bass would be more realistic to achieve with the larger 700-series drivers.

Stereophile did a series of articles about Graham Nash visiting a handful of Hi-Fi rooms.  Apparently, he was unaware about modern Hi-Fi and the levels that it has reached.  It was cool reading about his reactions to the different setups.  He had a Chord Mojo with him that he got from the Chord room, and at one point, bought some IEM's (I'm not sure which ones exactly, but they were one of the pairs sold through Astell & Kern) after trying them and liking them.

Funny enough, the reason I figured I'd mention this is that in addition to being an interesting read, Jude managed to get into one of the pictures of Graham's visit to the Ayre room.

My boss was supposed to get me into CES this year, but I guess he forgot :frowning2:.  Oh well...  One of these years I'll have to finally go.

I was trolling for data on CES and saw these updates today:

The Best Headphones and Speakers of CES 2016          http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/136387-best-headphones-and-speakers-of-ces-2016-b-o-naim-philips-and-more

Sony Launches new Walkman Players, etc.                      http://gadgets.ndtv.com/tv/news/sony-launches-new-walkman-players-wireless-headphones-and-more-at-ces-2016-786736

I remember when the original Walkman players came out and were hugely popular, kind of the Beats of their day (mid 1980's).  Anyone else remember that?

The pocket-lint one is a non-critical advertisement for main stream brands. It isn't a best-of list. For anyone starting reading this thread, it's better to just read the thread.

Well gosh boys, let's not get ahead of ourselves. CES went well for Massdrop, we'll see what happens in the months ahead.
Exactly!!

So the HD8XXS or HDVA6xx for $499 is still a chance then?
