I don't follow. These are real products. You can check them out at Senn's site as linked. Am I missing something?

Yes they are but first I thought he was going to show the sennheisers we all hope for right now and by linking to those I took it as a joke because they have been linked to on this site several times the latest days.

It will be very interesting to see how the new Sennheiser IEM's compare against the competition from Etymotic Research, Shure, Ultimate Ears and Westone.

Can the single dynamic driver IE 8 sound really good just like what Denon did with their excellent AH-C700?

As I said.... IEM market is crowded already....

List of IEM companies.
Shure, Ety(including rebranded ones like for Harman Kardon ones and iM716), Westone, Ultimate Ears, JAYS, Sony, JVC, Koss(lol), Bose(lol), and Klipsch(dear god) and other nameless companies

And now we are putting Sennheiser...

In contrast......

List of those making some serious high-end dynamic headphones
Grado, Audio-Technica, Sennheiser, AKG, Beyerdynamics, Sony, Denon

List of those making Electro-static headphones
Koss, STAX.......

List of those making affordable Electro-static headphones
(empty)

This is an extraordinarily uncomfortable design. I hope they've somehow made this device more wearable than the MX 90 VC.

Add to this the sharp-edged digital signals penetrating your brain...

i really don't get it , why on earth sen introduce in-ear with one driver? when the competition fight on two or three ?
they have now the cx95 , if they want to get higher they must get more driver , so what is the logic ?

More drivers isn't necessarily better. Take Etymotic Research and Omega Speaker Systems as a prime examples of this. Plus, dynamic drivers are pretty large so I can't see dual or triple driver dynamic IEMs being made any time soon.
