Glad to hear all the positive responses. Tempted to keep mine, though I don't really need an ultra portable device right now.
I was waiting for the iPhone 6 Plus version since I've had the iPhone 6 for about a year now. However, since the iPhone 5 version was available, I got that instead and I'm using my old iPhone 5, which was gathering dust, as a dedicated high end audio player.
I figured that once the iPhone 5 dies, I can always get the iPod to replace it and use with the Hi-Fi Skyn. I'm not sure which version of the iPod the Skyn works with, but I believe it's the latest (6th?) gen version.
I'm not sure if the 5th gen iPod touch works with the Skyn on not.
That's an interesting idea I hadn't thought of - that the iPhone 5 version may be the most long-lasting model because it fits the iPod Touch which many may keep as their DAP even after upgrading iPhones. And that the iPhone 6 or 6S is really a more limited, finite-life device, because once people upgrade their phones, it largely loses its usefulness.
That's why I changed my order from iPhone 6 Plus to iPhone 5/iPod Touch. And the thought of an 8 inch phone case :O
Will skyn work with iPad?
Should be, but you need the extension cable to rig it.
Yes, indeed, with a lightning connection cable like this one:

it should work.
Cheers,

Another fabulous option of future-proofing the Skyn!! While it defeats the purpose of an iPhone case, it is still an incredible DAC/amp!
btw ... I've noticed that the Skyn seems to get really hot, especially when charging the iPhone. I hope that this is not an issue.
