I absolutely LOVED everything about the M8. The only thing I couldn't deal with was you couldn't charge it while using it. After 2 hours it would die and I couldn't use the audio. Does the mini M8 fix this ?

I havent had issues with my M8-mini. it lasts for more then 6 hours, and I have been able to use it while charging. It drives my LCD3 just fine. though I can't play directly loud, but enough for me to enjoy high quality music without need to bring my big amps.

I believe so yes. I just turn off the unit after charging. The button to mid-position and it goes off.

Enjoying the Mini-M8 OTG to an android phone, and I think I read somewhere it will charge the phone when neither device is in use and M8 is connected to the wall charger. Tried this keeping the Mini-M8 selector switch to mid-position (charging) which did not charge the phone. Do I need to set the switch left to USB position to charge the phone, and if I do will it drain the Mini-M8 to charge phone or will it charge both devices at the same time?

Thanks for any clarifications.

Has anyone tried this with beyerdynamic T5P?

Yes I have. If my memory serves me right, there was very little hiss on the balanced output on low gain, and I am fairly sensitive to hiss so I would've noticed if there was too much.

I've charged both my mini-m8 and hifi-m8 with their attached chargers while using it for music.  I do notice that if I've got the input switch in the mid position, I hear a very slight hum.  But that goes away when I select either the usb input or the iPhone  input.

Hope this helps---

I'd check amazon and look for the company anker. This company makes really good cables at a fair price.
