CD Ripping software

I've had issues installing XLD on Ventura. I've had to resort to the Music application lately.

I am using XLD with the Sonoma (OS14) beta with no real problems. I'm using a Intel machine, not a M.
You might look into Media Center or dBpoweramp Music Converter. I don't think either is free.
dBpoweramp is my main application for RIPing CDs at the moment.

The two main camps are EAC and dBpoweramp. The big difference between is EAC is free, dBpoweramp is pay.

I've never used EAC, but I do use dBPoweramp, and used it to rip my 2700+CDs to my Windows PC. Zero issues, easy to use.

That's a lot of work. I've RIPed something over 900 cds...

While it was a lot of work when you consider it's 2700 CDs, it not a lot of work if you organize the task. Anyway, now I rip as they come in.

Yes, I still buy CDs, and still play them. The rips are for when I don't feel like pulling out CDs or streaming when out and about.

foobar2000 is my current choice for ripping and am actually also using it as a media player. It reminds me of the old school WinAmp player but with more (modern) features. Worked like a charm with my smaller (~300) CD collection. Just throwing out another option in case anyone is interested.

I built a 4 drive ripping PC and I rip using EAC or multi threaded ripping I use dBPoweramp. You can also run EAC in multiple instances. I have about 1200+ CDs I still need to rip to my media server.

I've been running MusicBee to manage my digital music for a decade, including doing all my frequent ripping. It has AccurateRip built in and is currently running on my Windows 7, 10, and 11 systems. It is continuously developed and provides excellent online documentation and online "live" support from very experienced and active users. Alas, it only runs on Windows.
