CD Ripping software

Are you ripping or trying to do other things as well??
I just want something that can rip CDs and organize my local music files with the proper info. I would probably relegate streaming podcasts and music to my phone or browser when it comes to stuff like YouTube and Spotify (if I ever renew my Spotify subscription).

I'd use EAC to rip, to organize I use MP3Tag to pull in meta data, then Album Art Exchange for high quality album art. I then combine 2 to 3 genres, e.g. Jazz + New Age and put folders based on the album, (folder)Artist - Album into those genre folders. As for streaming I have a Plex server and use Plexamp to stream outside of my house or I just keep local copies of my music.... When I am home I just point Foobar to my music shares and let it play....

One app isnt always the answer if you're picky about your collection like I am... LOL

I just use Apple Music on my later Macs and Apple iTunes on older macs; seems to work fine as long as you use a good drive that can be forced to guarantee an accurate rip and can also be forced to rip slowly (e.g. Pioneer BDR-X13E-S which I use myself).
For reliable ripping I have found most crucial the ability to force the drive to 4x read speed or less. Troublesome CDs need to spin slowly.
If you use an Apple superdrive then be prepared for lots of ripping errors on poorly centered/wobbly CDs.
I can't comment on file info as I find I need to make a lot of corrections, even more so when I rip Japanese CDs; the GraceNote database is full of errors.

I'm picky about my music, but still use a single app (dBpoweramp) for my ripping needs. Probably cause I'm not interested in rocket science-ing things to death. Yes, noting is perfect, including life, so.... 🤷‍♂️

Picard is my current favorite for the organizing portion. I prefer the file name scripting over mp3tag - was easier to get it to consistently organize things exactly how I want it to
