CD recording vs DAT recording...

I read in a catalogue that DAT recording has better than cd quality sound. If you're recording off a CD, does DAT sound better than CD - CD recording?

Well for a start you'll have to worry about resampling from CD's 44.1kHz to DAT's 48kHz. JaZZ says it was claimed that this can't be done perfectly. Some techies here disagree, but it's a fair guess that this resampling may be screwed up often enough that your DAT recorder may be one of the victims
