Among the long list you posted, I only have the ZAX & DQ6. No worries, there's always next year. :)
Yeah, I am quite liking CNC metal shell this year.

The DQ6 sounds really good at higher volume by the way and the ZAX didn't fit my ears well at all and kind of hoping to get a replacement and there is this metal shell CKX.....even it may be an excuse. :triportsad:

Metal shell? Or metal back?

What model are you talking about that has a full metal shell? The last full metal shell that KZ has done from my knowledge was the ZS7 and BA10.

the "KZ" CKX I guess?

oh wow, I didn’t realize it has a full metal shell. From the photos, I assumed it was a metal back cover and acrylic body, like most of the recent KZ/CCA earphones.

Just re-read it, it's not cystal clear. Might be just the top shell. They may have the bottom half in plastic moulded in the same colour.

I guess I will be the first to find out next year.
Feels good just saying "next year"!

Yeah, in every photo I’ve seen, they keep showing the back cover.

None of the marketing photos posted so far have shown the other side of the shell, from the angle of the nozzle.

It’s quite odd...

:L3000: in order to stop myself deciding to get the CKX or not I just bought it anyway to save my time, lol. And thanks for the clip, gotta be good for testing IEMs.

And a damn fine video to kick off 2021!

My curiosity and your reply are really tempting to get the CKX..I have blindly purhased the ZS10PRO, CA16, ZAX, MT300, ASX, BQEYZ K2, BQEYZ BQ3, TRI i3, Spring 2, NM2+, EDX, DQ6, Tin T4, V90s, BA5, Bl-01 this year. Didn't like the first five and sold them except that no one wants the ZS10 Pro from me. lol.

I bought the ZAX and sold it. Didn't like the artificial treble otherwise sounded pretty good. Am hoping that the CKX will be the "improved" version of the ZAX and it has a 10mm DD instead of 8mm. I also prefer metal shells over resin/plastic. The CKX actually costs the same as ZAX on taobao, don't get the markup on AE.
Surprised that nobody wants your ZS10 PRO. Those are my favorite go to iems. When my first pair broke, I immediately had to buy a replacement set. Still in my top 3.

Nice looking setup, especially with the glare blue.

It also looks like you went to balanced as well :)

Yeah, I figured I already have a 3.5 mm cable, even though it tangles rather easily, why not take advantage of my dap's balanced capability

After my success with the Limpid Pro cable with the KBEAR Diamond, I have now tried it with the CCA C16 funnily enough using the medium wide bore tips from the Diamond! This is a great combination with excellent seal and nicely balanced sound. These C16s really do dig out the detail and the BA bass is excellent as well.
