Thanks for confirming @PhilW but where does it say that, unless I'm missing it somewhere? That's without our lovely VAT
Nobody cares for 500 mw at 32 Ohm balanced output power? Isn't it a little bit on the lower side?
I think it's a bit expensive for a sub-flagship, it's the price of a flagship. So I pass my turn.
is there a Cayin n6 version 3 planned? maybe it will be cheaper?

Small request for Cayin to return to the aesthetic design of the N6ii for their next DAP. Can't get on board with this trend toward gold knobs....I can't speak for manufacturer, but N8ii is their current flagship which sells for $3.5k USD. N6ii was $1.2k, A02 card (with LO/Pre) is $420, R01 discrete R2R (not the same as 1bit DSD DAC, but in a ballpark of discrete DAC solution) is $250. Again, not the same, but N6ii+R01+A02 is kind of like functionality of N7 and around the same price, right? And while N7 is in-between N6ii and N8ii, its performance is closer to N8ii level.

Horses for courses, swings and roundabouts. I always preferred my knobs blackwhereas i dont mind a proper pair of brass knobs
When will we learn first impressions from you, Alex?If that helps, I was able to drive ATH-R70x (99dB sensitivity, 470ohm impedance) to full potential, not just loud enough, in high gain at 60/100 volume. Something like Meze Audio Empyrean, didn't need more than 44/100. For high end IEMs like Mentor Multiverse, Jewel, Traillii, etc. around 30/100.
as long as they are quick, the rs8 takes about 5 turns for a single point of volume change... i find the N8ii knob to be somewhat loose..Horses for courses, swings and roundabouts. I always preferred my knobs black![]()
