This is the beauty of N6. It's sound superb with all good earphones. LAB1 + N6 has the lovely synergy.

Agreed. Because it is very much neutral it goes with most things.

Though not sure how it would go with bright headphones/iems. May get a touch fatiguing. But I find those fatiguing regardless lol

As a bass heavy person, i find the n6 with 1964 v8 perfect for bassheaven. U guys if have a chance listen to the n6 with the ath r70x beautiful

Hey guys and girls

I did do a quick search on my phone but thought I would ask anyway.

I am currently on firmware 1.1. I have downloaded 2.0.

I am living the sound on 1.1. Are there any sonic changes between the 2 or is it purely settings and stability etc?

I only ask as I had a dx90 in the past and different firmware seemed to take on different characteristic's.

Thanks in advance for any help.

There is sonic changed. A significant 40% fall in soundstage imo. Other than that...not sure. Plus if u play dsds i hear v2 plays better. Try both then decide no harm

Hmm. That is s one of the thing I love.

Nah my collection is 99% PCM.

Think I will give it a miss.

So firmware rollback isn't an issue, just over wrote the new with the old? :)

Do you mean songs from different albums may have different loudness and thus annoying when placing them in one folder and playing that folder?

If so, I think N6 does not have a way to deal with this (as yet).  Other DAPs may have replay gain (e.g., those with Rockbox).
