Same here, but I'm almost ready to move forward, just clearing the last doubts and getting my ear impressions next week.
The Chinese New Year is arriving and we are all eagerly looking forward to the holidays. The Cayin team will perform a thorough cleaning up of our manufacturing facility on 3rd February, and our Zhuhai facility will be closed from 4th February to 18th February.
To a lot of workers and staff in Cayin who have family outside the Guangdong Province, this is their only occasion to reunite with their family and friends after a long year of hard work. We shall resume our office on 19th February Monday.

So I have received the nice Cayin Multifunctional OD Green Nappa Carrying Case
It's superbly built with great quality and fits what I usually need... only gripe I have with it is that it's a bit tight for N30 so much so that I have to push a little to fit the N30 when using the divider on the left that is. It actually pushed hard enough to turn on N30. Without N30 case this doesn't happen but it's just a tad too tight. It will probably loosen over time but something to consider. Ironically R8 II with case fits just right
I really like the strap which makes it a great carry case
Closing is secured with 3 closing points, I do fell safe on that front.

Is Cayin now offering a 5 year warranty? Or is the extended warranty only covering the previous hissing issues?

The 5 year extended warranty covers exclusively the hissing issue.
That's a shame- not especially reassuring considering the product hasn't been exactly problem-free.

The problem that is covered is the only one that required such approach. The device has been more than performing , according to most users!
Fair enough. Not spending that kind of money if I can't rely on the DAP working after 12 months of use. To each their own.
I cannot change your perception of course, but there are plenty of other options for you to keep entertained …enjoy the music!

The warranty extension covers the only real issue anyone has had. How is that not reassuring?
