No shipper will insure valves!! For one, they are glass, for two they are ultra sensitive! There is no insurance.
For everything i have ever sold, if someone had an issue and was immediately unimpressed, i woudl fall over myself to offer a refund. I did it recently with a set of tubes... yes i believe the onus is on the seller to ensure it gets there ... but consider .. you sent £1.5k Elrogs to overseas. Buyer never receives them. COurrier says not insured ... are you still returning their money? Are you happy to be out of pocket? This is a more difficult situation!
Twice now, i have sold via global shipping. Pitney-Bowes at the receiving side of Ebays global shippign have CONFISCATED the goods!!! THey STOLE MY TUBES! Thankfully ebay DOES fully cover you under global shipping which is AMAZING!! Both parties kept their payments! Could i afford to play that game as a small seller? I'd love to know what Pitney_Bowes are doing with our tubes ... im hearing this MORE and MORE so be very very careful!!! They are claiming that tubes contain Mercury! Hence the confiscation! Yet they are not on the Restricted items list!!! Here is the response below.
