Haha I thought the exact same thing. It actually turned into a bidding war which I eventually won at around $175 for the lot lolI'd be willing to bet good money that the folks you were bidding against were also owners of the HA-300 and the MKII.

Has anyone tried using using stax headphones with a stax SRD-7 or mjolnir with the 300MK2?

That works out to $17.50 per tube.Haha I thought the exact same thing. It actually turned into a bidding war which I eventually won at around $175 for the lot lol
Phew!
I have >60x of various brands of 22de4 tubes at $2 per tube.
You can still get 22de4 tubes (non-Sylvania brands) at $5.25 per tube from https://www.surplussales.com/Tubes-Sock-Acc/7-99/TubesListed_7-99_4.html
Jeff.
Yeah, I know it was a little pricy, but the point was that I couldn't find four Sylvania 22DE4 tubes anywhere else, at least not without spending a ton of time looking lolThat works out to $17.50 per tube.

You should send those photos to WE because there should be no blue/purple glow in the body of the tube. They may send you new replacement tubes.Took these pics just now of my WE 300b tubes in the dark

Jeff.
The blue fluorescence at the inside surface of the glass bulb is typically seen with a very good vacuum. A gassy tube will have a blue glow around the filament/grid structure and will draw excessive grid current.
[for reference, I pulled this paragraph from HERE, but the sentiment is accurate enough I didn't feel the need to paraphrase.]

You could be correct, but another forum member who had the same problem contacted WE and they told him that a blue glow is normal in that top section of the tube but not acceptable in the body of the tube. WE told him to send the tube back for a free replacement.Respectfully disagree.

I am sure the blue glow in the picture is just making it look much more pronounced than it really looks in reality. I bet there is nothing wrong with them.
I can take tube pics like that too with my phone, and make them look super bright.
@Aeonyx I wouldn't worry about it.

Apos Audio is selling their own brand of 6SN7s.
Kinda pricy at $150 for a matched pair, when you can get some LinLai Elites (that I've seen get really good reviews) for $30 more or some nice NOS for the same price or cheaper.

I didnt see the option to get a matched pair I would be curious bc it looks like ex Sophia / Full Music which are not in production any more l.Apos Audio is selling their own brand of 6SN7s.
