Hello,
According to CanJoin Thailand that was held on 17 - 20 March 2011 in Bangkok, I would like to share and tell a story about the first headphone meeting in Thailand. My team was a leader and coordinator of this meeting and we arranged this event because we was impressed from CanJam that the people who are interesting in headphones and related fields coming to share their experience.
We also formally named this big event in Thailand as "CanJoin #1". This event can be implied as an exhibition that all sectors in Thai headphones society were joining this event including headphones importers, dealers, retailers and headphones forum in Thailand for providing opportunities for headphones interesting person sharing and exchanging their experience and expanding the head-fi'er sector in Thailand.
We were supported by several Thai head-fi members : several allowed their headphone collections as you can see the collections and the owners name on the labels , some gave their precisous CD + DAC player (Esoteric p03, d-03), others carried their amplifier (Woo Wes max) for display and allow the participants for testing especially the HE90 vs the O2mkI. We also shared our feeling about those headphones , although the opinions may differ but we could conclude our experience in certain specific area which we will share later in the head-fi blogs.
The major cooperators (exhibitors) were firstly, Thai Audiophile Forum (TAF) that provided a lot of equipments for testing headphones especially Orpheus. The second was Pantip Gadget Group that brought oldie eadbuds or earphone headphones (aged over 30 years) and also brought earbuds headphones in every models that were manufactured in the world. Thirdly, Retro gadget group that showed rare minidiscs and minidisc players and Short Wave Radio Lover also joined this meeting.
This event also presented high-quality Thai headphones tube-amplifiers, portable headphones amplifier, DIY mod by Chimgimmick, DIY Headphone amplifier by Mr.Kanit : minute amplifier 300B + other, boybee , experience with the HE90 comparing to the Woo Wes, including cables and interconnections, headphones, headphones amp and iPod repairing services from highly experienced workmen. Moreover, there was ukulele and easy listening music bands in this meeting.
It was diversified meeting that we tried to integrate and diversify the headphone sector in Thailand to CanJoin. We believe that you can enjoy and delight with our story and pictures and they can make you interesting to join us in second CanJoin. Furthermore, we would like to acknowledge every exhibitor, cooperators, staffs and attendants and we also would like to thank everyone that pay an attention in reading and watching our pictures and story.
