If someone could check this out at the Hifiman Booth I'd appreciate it.

Is there a new version in terms of cosmetics of the R10P closed backs? With what looks like an HE1000V2 headband assembly?

Good catch. Why does it look so different?

Probably based on feedback from the public saying that for a $$$ headphone, why would it use the cheapish Deva headbands?
Indeed. It looks much better now.

And it looks like it’s using normal headphone cable, not a single connection cable used on current model.

That's great. That way it is easier to grab a new cable. The original one was just meh to me. Not soundwise, since I never heard it. Just what they put out as a product.

There are a couple jewels at the The Source AV’s booth worth checking out, namely DC Audio Stealth on the TT2/M-Scaler stack and the Woo Audio WA33 headphone amp. Everyone needs to do themselves a favor and check those out.

With all the new headphones, is anything a clear step above the Susvara, Phi TC or Utopia? Do we have a new king?

I was really impressed with the Dan Clark Stealth. Long ago I concluded that it was impossible to make a closed back can sound like open headphones, and I'm picky about this, but they've done it, and proved me wrong.

If I ever have to work in an office again surrounded by other people, this will be just what the audiophile ordered.
