Had a good night at the casino last night. 2 hand pays for a total of $6000, minus the starting money, profit of $5400. I hit 4 four of a kind, 3 of them were 3's, but one was without the kicker for the bonus, so that one paid $400. The first hit for $2000 was about 10 minutes of playing. I put that way and only used the rest of my starting money. I only had $50 left when I hit back to back four of a kind, which included the 1 for $400, after those back to back hits I was only $25 behind on my starting money.

So I went to other machines played a bit, hit a straight flush for $250, to keep me going. Tried a few other machines and had $300 left when I played the final machine that gave up the $4000. I had been on a long dry streak, which if you gamble will happen. But before the streak started, I had 3 hand pays on 3 trips for a total of $11,600. Now what does this have to do with food? I ate food that day. 😁

So now masks are required at the show, so I may not be coming.
I hope it will not prevent you from coming :frowning2:
After 2 years - that is a price I am willing to pay!
Besides, we can take the mask off when we walk outside and during lunch/dinner when we hang...

Guys, as posted in the CanJam SoCal 2021 thread:

We've deleted some posts that contained at least one member's risk analysis, medical suggestions, etc. (as well as some posts in response to those posts). With the preponderance of information about COVID-19 statistics, vaccines, masking, etc. available to all, we suggest all of you look at as much information as you can to come to a decision on whether or not to attend. We do not think this thread is the appropriate place, for example, to recommend which vaccine to get.

We understand everyone's concerns regarding COVID-19, given that this is an in-person event. Again, we are in regular contact with the event venue, and we are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation carefully.

Please read this quoted post (below) in its entirety:

  • We will create more space between booths, along with wider aisles, in order to reduce congestion and facilitate social distancing.
  • Hand sanitizers will be placed on every table and at the Registration Desk.

Please note that these guidelines are subject to change, as we will continue to monitor and comply with the applicable laws and regulations. We will posting further updates as we lead up to the event.

List of major eats near John Wayne Airport at the top-rated South Coast Plaza shopping center area.

Hard to go wrong with majors like Morton's, Maggianos, etc. Cheaper would be Lawry's etc.
