Btw, anyone going to see Dune 2 while they're in NYC? Lincoln AMC is the best IMAX in the country. I'm going Saturday night, hopefully my ears recover from the massive IMAX speakers in time for Sunday morning headphone listening

Honestly, pick up some ear protection. I remember going to see Pacific Rim in the theatres. I'd heard it was loud so I took some earplugs. So so so glad I did.Btw, anyone going to see Dune 2 while they're in NYC? Lincoln AMC is the best IMAX in the country. I was not able to register. It says March is booked. Any possibility of a Friday session ( the day before the show )? Tks.Hello! We're happy to present the HE 1 listening session signup link.
A few notes:
At our show-floor-booth we'll have: HD 820, HD 800S, HD 660S2, HD 650, HD 600, HD 560S, MTW4, ACCENTUM Plus, MOMENTUM 4, IE 900, IE 600, IE 200, and many HDV 820 for you to connect to. We typically have TIDAL on iPads connected to the interwebz, but you're welcome to connect your own source too!
- The HE 1 will be in a private suite in the hotel so that you can listen in a quiet, controlled environment
- Listening sessions are 30 minutes each, and each session accommodates up to 3 people (most agree to split the time 10 mins/each but it's up to you)
- Simply meet at the Sennheiser booth ~5 minutes before your appointment, and you'll be escorted up
- We build in a few minutes of buffer to traverse up to the suite so that your listening time is intact, but eventually have to leave so try and be prompt
- We will have a standby list at the booth in case there is a no-show; we are typically able to accommodate a handful of standby's every show and are happy to do so!
- The HE 1 is normally connected to TIDAL on a laptop via USB, but you are welcome to use your own source providing you're prepared with interconnects
We're excited to reconnect with audiophiles old and new. See you in NYC!
I can't believe sign-ups are closed already. I just got home from work. What a bummer...
If sign-ups are closed already then they better bring 2. Some of us have jobs and aren't home at 5pm on the dot chasing a canjam sign-up that was announced earlier that same day.
As I had said earlier in the thread:
They tend to go quick. But it’s one of those things where checking back often can yield good results. Some people end up not being able to make it and they open the slot back up. Also, in times past, it was worth stopping by the Sennheiser exhibit to see if they have a waiting list for the HE 1. Of course, every event is different, and that might not be an option at every CanJam.
I booked at around 5:40 and there were slots available at that time for both days.
Noted, but still as a functional adult with a job and who frankly decided to buy another ticket to CanJam this year for particularly this reason, this was really poorly handled. Adults with tens-of-thousands of dollars to potentially spend on a HE-1 have jobs. If you announce an "event" at noon, we will not be in a position to be at home chasing a spot in that event by 5pm. :|As I had said earlier in the thread:
HE1 slots sing up is the new ZMF limited purchase competition
