My first CanJam NYC was 2020 not my first CanJam or first time in NYC but the next CanJam NYC 2022 was a different experience the smell of weed once you got outside of the hotel is everywhere now and more hucksters at every step.

Can anyone comment on how long the lines can get for demos?
Last year there really weren't "lines" per se, but the "hype" models (CRBN, Susvara, etc) definitely had a crowd gathered and you could have to wait a while to get your turn. I also had to wait awhile to get time at the ampsandsound table. Last year we were also just barely out of c* lockdown, though, so I anticipate this year there will be a lot more exhibitioners AND a lot more attendees.

As a rule of thumb, ANYTHING you do in NYC you can expect to be over-attended and have a wait. Consider it part of the city's "charm".

Pro tip: go as early as possible on Sunday morning. That's your best chance to get quality time in a quiet environment with the most popular gear.

Yup. For example, this was the ZMF room at CanJam SoCal last year, when they launched Caldera at the show:

Generally yes, unless you want to attend Dr. Sean Olive's seminar, which is also Sunday morning:

The HARMAN Headphone Target Curve: 2023 And Beyond

Sunday, February 26th, 2023
11:00a - 12:00p

The Harman Target is a subjectively preferred headphone frequency response that was the culmination of a 7-year scientific study on the perception and measurement of headphone sound quality. My talk summarizes what the Harman Target Curve is, how it was developed and validated, and how to best use it for interpreting and predicting how good a headphone sounds. With the introduction of new headphone test fixtures, like the B&K 5128, the future of the Harman target curve will be discussed.

SPEAKER: Dr. Sean Olive, Senior Fellow, Acoustic Research, Harman International

This baby is awake... Wife said it's my turn.

And she says baby,
It's 3 a.m., he must be lonely.

I realize the space isn't that big but is there an exhibitor map?

ZMF always has a huge crowd and wait. And for good reason!

I realize the space isn't that big but is there an exhibitor map?
A directory and map have been in all past CanJam guides you get during check-in. But once you do a lap through the floor, you quickly get a sense of where things are.

Nice Matchbox 20 reference

Thank you, yes, was wondering if a digital copy might be available.

I get sidetracked a lot so if I'm trying to beeline for Audio46 before there's a line, next thing you know I'm listening to the Caldera and people are telling me it's closing time.
