Meanwhile I am getting help finalizing my set-up over here:
http://www.head-fi.org/t/629437/cant-wait-to-finally-purchase-final-questions-beyerdynamics-fiios-and-ohms

I want to cut the cord by the headphones and put a female adapter there and then just use a cord with male ends on both side to plug them into headphone and player. Is there any resources that I could use? So for once I need to buy that plug and mod it onto the headphones.

A second thing is that I want to get a cord that is not as long, or get a cool looking one and mod it to the lengths I want.. So a second thing I need is a cord.

I want it to be within a range of $50 mod. Can anyone link me to a desired equipement?

Mogami or Starquad

Thanks for the replies.

I checked both and I really like this one.

A goal of upgrade is to shorten the cord from 10' to 4' to make DT770 Pro / DT880 Pro /or DT990 Pro (still deciding on headphones) more portable.

Anyways. This is some kind of "patch" cable, but I like the length and color option. Is this a decent cable to use?

Is this a right kind of cable?

Thanks, but there is nothing close to my budget that they sell on their website.

Anyways, I am kind of thinking of making one? Anyone knows if there are any special skills one needs to have?

Hey thanks for the links and info, but I really got into an idea of doing a couple of DIY projects now!
I created a new topic for it and here it is: http://www.head-fi.org/t/631271/help-with-first-custom-cable-make-and-detachable-cable-mod

If anyone can help me there it would be great!
Thanks for the input here! Greatly appreciated...
