The Burr Brown chips they use are quite old. They partially use a similar tech for the first 6 bits, then the remaining 10-18 bits are handled in the Delta Sigma fashion. So, the Burr Brown chip has body in the low end like an R2R. They sound very "rich" and a bit thick like an R2R. Burr Brown stopped making them because the die size was so huge it got cost prohibitive.

I'm definitely interested in the the Diablo 2. It looks like a Swiss Army Knife for Hifi. I think it could be excellent to drive high impedance earbuds.

@iFi audio Does it come with a USB-C OTG Cable? Do you have any plans for a case (like the Gryphon's case), besides the carrying case?

I am not aware of the Diablo 2 being a replacement for anything, just an addition to our ever-expanding lineup!

It is recieve only so signal to the Diablo 2 as with all other iFi products.

This is accurate to the package I received so straight USB C cable.

I have not heard anything about any cases as of yet,
