Hello,

I bought my little brother an SMSL SP200 a while ago as a gift. I recently found out that whenever our mom cleans his room she unplugs his amp. He said that every time she unplugs it or re-plugs it back in, she wiggles the head of the power cord a lot instead of simply pulling/pressing it straight in.

Could this cause any damage to the port or the head of the plug? I’m worried she might bend the prongs or make something loose. I’m not too knowledgeable on how durable these types of things are.

Thanks for any help!

They are fairly durable but best if they are not plugged and unplugged too often like once a day would seem a bit excessive but a couple times a month don’t think would be a problem as long as it was done properly.
