Is there anything I should be careful of when plugging in/out or turning on/off my Magni or Modi? I was just reading somewhere about the Asgard causing diaphragms to distort due to some DC current when you're turning it off.

I won't comment on the Asgard 'issue', as it's already been discussed in great detail in a few threads. Some searching will bring up much information. I will say I am happy with mine and have zero problems with it.
 
Regardless, if you're paranoid like me, you could just plug in your headphones after turning the amp on and unplug them before you shut the amp off. I do this with all my amps. It's just what I've always done.

Talking about Asgard busting headphone drivers will get you banned.

The magni has a protection relay built in during power on/off so you should be fine. I personally turn the volume pot to 0 before I power on/ off and swap headphones.
