I really need some help as I'm a serious novice about anything cables. I have just bought a pair of balanced headphones with a 4 pin xlr socket but I need a 3 pin for use with my amp, I can't seem to find a 4 to 3 pin adapter anywhere? So is it possible to remove the 4 pin neutrik and replace with a 3 pin?

A lot of the adaptors tend to be DIY (I've not come across any that aren't).

It should be relatively simple to change 4pin to 3pin, just ensure your right and left signals and grounds are going to the right place (and I'm thinking that you'll be bridging two of the pins on each of the 3pin plugs). I'm fairly certain there're a few folks on here who can whip something up if you're so inclined.
