Svyr, how long do you get to keep the RDB for? I seriously want to try it out... Only if I can write reviews as good as others here

1-2 weeks, then mail them to someone else for a review. It doesn't have to be a 10 page one with 100s of pictures. Just compare how they sound to your other gear, with your different sources/amps, and on some types of music.

It's very difficult to objectively speculate and point out options about things without appearing to be in bad faith and not being too cynical [and letting your own philosophies bias you]. No I trusted Lee, Shane. And bought the $800 1st version pair (mind you that 800 was initially for copper cable and silver was 100 on top of that). GG actually got me second guessing my decision since he didn't seem completely impressed. Turns out a new pair was made based on impressions just like that. This I saw as a good thing as I was already enjoying my pair. Thought there seems to be some great customer relations/feedback work going on here...That is why I am now excited to see what Tralucent brings next to the table. I still have the old versions.
 
I wasn't trying to convince you of anything nor was I trying to invalidate any of your points. Price jump is questionable and I'm not defending Tralucent but my point in the previous post was actually in fact - why not call out the numerous "expensive" DACs, flagship phones coming to the meet and perhaps claim their predecessors or siblings could do the same job for much less? It is understandable but seemed unnecessary to mention on a meet thread.

Population/probability wise people go for Townsville, Cairns or Bris 

 . Although Brisbane is clearly not far north 

 or north qld.

 
Not bad coz a few of my friends in Brisbane thought Townsville was where the country music festival was down South!! Only know Cairns or Mackay up North lol. 
 
Back on topic - these events seem nice and well planned out. Are they based on donations/cover charges?

Can con run on cover charge. Regarding smooth operation of the meet, there were lots of hiccups in planning and running the meet. The meet is still in developing stage ad there are still much improvements to be made.

Audio Technica Australia TAG just confirmed with me and told me that they will be attending the meet however for the morning only. They have informed that they will be bringing 5 high end headphones of which some are not yet released!!! Yay~

excellent. I'll check on Yamaha now. edit: unfortunately they're unable to attend due to late notice, but said they'll try to make it to the next one.

Attendance fees. Members - low single 15-30, vendors - 2x that depending on the year/# of people to spread the venue costs.
