Can anyone else not stand songs that are channel imbalanced?

I have one cd where the music actually goes back and forth being louder on one side for a few seconds and then drifts to the other side back and forth, drives me nuts!

The first Peter Gabriel album is like this. Specifically "Solsbury Hill."

I'm a big fan of imaging and soundstage, but I don't like it when the whole song has very obvious left/right imbalance. now, songs with multiple singers placed in different places is very cool though.

yep I agree especially when listening to headphones with great soundstage - the effect is pretty awesome
