Can anyone compare Bifrost 2 vs Hugo 2?

Roughly speaking, the difference is about the same as that of the Yggy and Bifrost 2.

The Bifrost 2 is a bit softer-sounding (or smoother might be another way to describe it) and a bit more closed-in. I think it's most noticeable through speakers. The Yggy and Hugo 2 are more detailed and "sharp". The Hugo 2 though is more susceptible to transport quality, so a good optical cable connection is best and noisy USB the worst. The Qutest is a Hugo 2 with isolated USB and without the volume control, so it's more comparable if you're considering standalone DACs. If just headphones, the Hugo 2, given it can go direct to headphones, can reveal significantly more detail.
