What’s are people’s opinions on the supermoon being a good all rounder that works with most genre’s. I find I skip a lot of songs with the IE600 was looking for something that’s more of a easy listen.

Campfire Audio Bonneville

Just finished my review on the Bonneville, feel free to read if of any interest:

https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/campfire-audio-bonneville.27106/review/33255/

A standout feature is the bassy and thick tonality that is surprisingly clean for such a tuning, paired with excellent technicalities.
Love it with most music genres out there, with metal and rock being just pure awesome. Bonneville is now one of my favorite IEMs overall.

Hi everyone. Need an opinion. I listen to about 80% Classic Rock / Rock / 80s Metal, and 20% Pop / Hip Hop. Would the OG (2016) Dorado work for me or would the Jupiter be better? I've heard the Jupiter excels at Rock music.

Thanks for the input.
Dorado 2020 would be much better, especially at its significantly discounted prices B stock and used.

I was afraid you'd say that. 😄 I'd love to try the 2020 but, even used, it's just a bit outside of my price range at the moment.
Save up my man. The original dorado and jupiter are flawed IEMS. Granted its a "colored" tuning, the originals just aren't worth it TBH.

Just a follow up, what's your source?

ITunes lossless files on an IPad through a Meridian Explorer. I've heard both Dorados are easy to drive.
Of course they are! Just curious about the DAC/Amp portion. Anyhow, I strongly recommend saving up! idk what your budget is but I found one on Ebay for 440. Couldn't find any OG dorado's on a cursory search. But I did notice there's people scalping the crap out of 2020's (over 1200, original MSRP was 1099) when you can get official B-stock for 899 and official used (tested and boxed) for 649 on the Campfire Marketplace.

I do know that OG Andromeda's between the OG (V1) and V3 are now collector's items, so unless their paint is totally chipped off they too are going for a pretty penny when just a year ago I could find em for 250-300. (i don't know if that says something about the Andromeda 2020 and Emerald Sea? or just being driven by collectors and reputation).

Actually it's the Explorer2, not that it makes a difference. I'll definitely take a look though.

Maybe you could try to get hold of a second hand Andromeda or IO.

I think the all BA versions work best with this sort of music.
(could be taste though)

I am using my IO a lot for early Megadeth (so far so good so what) or Testament (The new order).
The energetic tuning seems to work really well to disect this style of music.

I use my Andromeda as an al rounder most of the time.
Just realy enjoy IO with the mentioned music.

For Hip hop a dynamic driver Iem seems preferable.

CA used to have sheets per IEM with prefered styles of music (no longer on the website)
Maybe these help:

Question to Campfire audio staff about Supermoon CIEM vs Universal.

Currently owning a set of Universal and I really like what I'm hearing with the original foam tips. Less with the silicone ones.
But comfort with foam is horrible on long term as insertion is less deep vs silicone tips I like (moondrop spring) making too much pressure on my concha.

I wonder if CIEM give a sound close to foam tips on universal or silicone tips.
Also is the artist vs audiophile fit makes a difference in sound ? I suppose it does as insertion is different

Thanks
