If you were thinking about pulling the trigger for a pair of Campfire Audio Holocene IEM's now would be the time. They are on sale for 40% off for a "limited time"

My now three year old Mammoth pair do sound nice after all of this time. :) Bought them back then, when it was a new release-the stock cable deteriorated and stopped working, so it's using a Kinera blue ones I found to match their aesthetic. They have lost most of their "glow in the dark" appeal, as even the neon "CA" on one of the earphones peeled off. D: So nowadays the carrying bag glows more in the dark than the earphones themselves. But the sound is pretty good with either Xelastec or JVC Spiral Dot+ tips. I do prefer Atlas because it is way more detailed/extended, but the upper mids on the Mammoth are more emphasized so it's not really the same type of IEM (bassy yes, but they are too different to be deemed the same sort of IEM, IMHO.) Glad to still have the Mammoth after all these years!

The treble is normal, not too recessed, with emphasis on lower treble, but you can hear some of the air with the proper eartips (especially the aforementioned Spiral Dot), and with my new, humble SR35, sounds really, really good balanced and unbalanced (I know they are supposed to sound the same but Astell & Kern messes up with parameters so balanced does actually sound different/more "interesting"/"better.") I really am enjoying these Mammoth with the SR35-not dark at all, nice air, even if *obviously* not the best extension in the market. Not as "wow" as the Atlas, but impressive on its own merits. Lovely sound!

Mammoth balances out after about 100+ hours I sold mine once I bought my Atlas.
Atlas is more special, and it would be the one to keep were I forced to choose. The frequency extension and all-around sound is awesome. But no one is forcing me, so I do use the Mammoth from time to time. :) Enjoy the mids emphasis on the Mammoth, though I am not implying the Atlas has "sucked out mids", as there are plenty of earphones that would much better fit that classification.

(I think the current Drop price point of $399.00 for the Atlas is a terrific value for those who can purchase through drop.com!)

I bought mine from there for $300 earlier this year, I have even heard it goes for $250 on Black Friday

Ibasso dx260, exit 3.5
Idk man. That's a really neat unit for the price with great specs. I couldn't track down any noise complaints on any review for sensitive units. I get some waterfall on my Solaris/Andro Gold on the mojo2 and previously the RU6 in Low gain too.

Toggle your gain and see if the noise remains the same but increases in intensity?

I see, this only happens to me with these, but changing from the NOS filter to another one removes it completely, and low, medium and high gain is heard very lightly but it is there.
