Statement: In order to bring more fun in using X3 and meet more personalized requirements, we have developed one firmware unpacking tool. With this tool, customers can design the theme’s elements according to specified formats and sizes, so as to create one new personalized firmware. After reset, customer would get the new customized theme to replace the former embedded one, which includes the following elements:
1. Boot animation
2. Color and font of the character.
3. Background on various interfaces
4. Icons and operation instruction animations (i.e. upgrading lib, charging icon)
Due to its complexity, the theme beautification design requires professional knowledge and large work efforts. We hereby sponsor this campaign and provide related award to encourage the participations of the customers. See below for detailed rules of the activity.
1. Campaign schedule:
A. Campaign initiating: October 7th, 2013
B. Design collecting: October 7th, 2013 to December 7th, 2013
C. Evaluating and electing: December 8th, 2013 to December 20th, 2013
D. Awards announcing: December 21st, 2013
E. Awards distributing: December 21st, 2013
2. Campaign awards:
A. One First Prize: One FiiO 192K/24B portable lossless player X5.
B. Three Second Prize: One FiiO portable amplifier flagship E12 for each.
C. Ten Third Prize: Leather case for FiiO X3. or HS1 Headphone stand , or HS2 headphones switcher.
3. Participation method:
A. Download the firmware uncompressing package.
According to its instructions, uncompress the firmware and do the beautification design.

B. Do the theme beatification as required.
C. After test, post all the theme design draft and firmware (under different interfaces) for users to select in this forum.
The design draft should include at least the following:
a. Title of the theme (i.e. Winter Love): Name it by the participant.
b. GIF boot animation
c. 1:1 graphics for the main menu interface
d. 1:1 graphics for current playing interface
D. Starting from December 7th, we would post all the candidates (theme designs) for customers to vote.
4. Remarks:
A. In the cause of fairness, FiiO official workers do not participate in this campaign.
B. FiiO Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. reserves the right of final explanations.
C. Copyrights of the theme belong to the designer. FiiO Company promises not to preset the design into X3’s factory settings, but FiiO Company has the right to provide the design draft and firmware for X3 end users to download.
D. If there is any infringement of any third party's copyrights, participants is liable for all related legal liability.
