Being a long time Minolta shooter, here's a dynamic duo of the Minolta film and digital cameras they produced. Both of these 7's have a similar feel and operation, so going from film to digital camera was an easy transition.

Sony A1 with my favorite lens…GM 50mm 1.2![]()
Part of me is jealous, but another part of me wonders what the hell I'd even do with 50 megapixels. The 24 megapixels of my A7 III is almost too much. Hah.

Canon 6D2 with 24-105L + 28mm F2.8 + 50mm 1.4. Been very interested in macro photography, what are nice macro lenses for beginners that're friendly on the pocket too??

Canon EF macro lens search at dpreview.com. DPREVIEW is a photog's gearhead site, same as head-fi is a headphone enthusiast's gearhead site. If you're looking for bargain options then you'll need to go manual focus lenses. Sigma, Tamron or Tokina might have reasonable cost auto-focus macro lenses. If you're sticking with Canon lenses then expect to pay more. Maybe there are halfway decent deals for used Canon macro lenses on ebay?Canon 6D2 with 24-105L + 28mm F2.8 + 50mm 1.4. If you really want to go cheap then look into screw on diopter filter lenses which you attach to the front of your lens. You can actually get some decent macro close-ups using diopter filter lenses. If you go that route, stick with known name brands. Hoya comes to mind as an excellent filter manufacturer. Hoya closeup diopter review.

Thank you for your input! I think I can go with manual focus lenses, I've seen canon lenses and they do cost quite abit. I am mostly shooting macro on still products in a setup so I guess I do have the luxury of time to get the focus on point. eBay sounds good too, but I do have some bad experiences with eBay so i might be more careful when I shop there.Canon EF macro lens search at dpreview.com. Diopter filter is something new to me though, it is my first time hearing about this filter too. And yes I will definitely go for Hoya for reliable filters as I have a hoya filter mounted on my 24-105L
I may consider Tamron as I still have my trusty 17-50 2.8 mounted on my 7D and it still works a charm.
I got this Shanghai 58-II camera many years ago... it was based on the Leica IIIa.Any Leica Lover's in here..?
