Hey everyone,

I'm gonna be getting a CA AM10 amp soon but I'm not sure how it would do amplifying the beyer DT990 pro 250s.
I'm having to get a DAC either way - but I wanted to know if it's worth spending the extra and getting a DACmagic plus and using it as my headphone amp, or getting a cheaper DAC and using the AM10 for the 'phones.

TIA :)

Bump
Anyone got any thoughts on how the dacmagic plus would compare to the AM10 for headphones?

Okay so turns out pretty much any intergrated amp or receiver doesn't do a good job of driving headphones.

I went to a shop and had a listen to an Audiolab Q-DAC and it was amazing compared to any receiver I've tried.

I'm now considering a Schiit Modi + Asgard 2 but I don't know how they would compare to the Q-DAC (which would cost me about £150 more)

Ideally I need to find somewhere in the UK to listen to the Schiit modi and Asgard 2 but it seems fairly impossible.
