No, its ground to course, and I have a conical burr grinder. I've read others say that it doesn't matter what you do, the grounds will be there which is what gives it the rich flavor. But I've heard others state that they don't have this problem. 
 
Its pretty confusing, but there are options such as press pots with double filtering or using a paper filter after pressing, etc. I just don't drink the bottom part.

My French Press has a metal filter, no grounds in my coffee.

Using filter paper soaks up some of the oils that give coffee that rich flavour, avoid filter papers as much as possible.
 
Even stainless steel locks onto these oils, but not as severely.
There are stainless steel tablets shaped like a bar of soap or ovoid that you wash your hands with under warm running water to take away the smell from your hands such as onion's and garlic's aromatic oils.  Just sayin'

I didn't know that coffee is brewed with garlic down under. I'd rather get a hazelnut flavored coffee.

I've got an AeroPress with paper filters. In some reviews people write that they can't distinguish if it adds to a taste when they switch from a paper filter to a metal filter or maybe they prefer cleaner cup of coffee to a slightly richer taste. I need to try a metal filter.

I use metal all the way.
