If you don't mind me asking, what didn't you like about the HD650's? I know many people don't like the HD700's but I find the 650's to be one of the top headphones for the price/performance value.

Who said I disliked it? I just happen to like that particular Koss more because it's more engaging, albeit in a crude way. The HD 650 is more refined and laid-back. Fairly balanced, but with some added lushness and slight darkness, so it sounds good with pretty much everything. (click) But to my ears, the STAX SR-207 beats it in just about every way and can be had used for around the same price if you get lucky.

I once owned a Koss Porta Pro and to this day there were the most comfortable and amazing sounding portable headphones I used, in my opinion on par if not better than the ESW9. That is crazy since the price difference between both is huge. Never heard a STAX before but I am sure I would probably like them. The issue I have with the 650's (only one really) is that it is a "jack of all trades, master of none" type of headphone. This can be a good or bad thing. Compared to my HD800 which is like an adrenaline rush on some tracks. Perhaps one day I will get to hear a top notch STAX system and see how it compares to the HD800.

I have a pair of Koss Porta Pro, bought it ages ago, great for the price but IMO It can't begin to touch my Senn HD600's or any of my Planars.

Yes, the HD600 is a great headphone, prefer it over the HD650's. Koss seems to always have great sound for the price. So back on topic, how much caffeine has everybody ingested so far?

I have a huge pile of homework to do, so I need that jittery, "deep clean your whole house" kind of energy so that I can finish it in the time I have. Just drank a rockstar energy drink, so... we'll try that.

Welcome to the...uh...*something something something dark side*

It was the original flavor, right? 'Cause some of the other flavors are weaker.

Now I'm remembering the days I was moving out of my mother's house back in 2007 without her knowing until I left a note. I put most of my stuff in a nearby storage facility but was very late to work because of it...and I drank many cans of Red Bull while doing all that moving.

So does it make you high at all like it (sometimes) does for me? I find that listening to energetic music enhances the effect substantially.

Not really. I was less tired, but I still didn't get a "high" per say. I think the problem is because I'm bigger I'm not affected as much by all of the ingredients in it.

Yeah, that makes sense. Perhaps if you had two or three you'd get the equivalent high I do.

(And make sure to blast energetic music at the same time. Otherwise the effect isn't nearly as strong.)

I had to go to  business meeting today, so I visited a Starbucks. I think I like the lattes I make at home better.
