But it's coffee. So it still wins.

Intellgentsia Black Cat Espresso beans with my Rancilio partnership. Happy relaxing times.

As a medical anthropologist I study how the culture makes people sick, and caffeine is a big problem. But since nearly everyone uses this powerful and psychoactive drug, it use and effects are considered "normal" and caffeine addiction is ignored when drug addiction advice is given. Ironically, many addiction meetings have coffee served. Keep in mind that caffeine elimination in some people can take hours, and in other it can take days. Some people become sensitive to caffeine without realizing what is happening to them. The results can be a real problem, in many ways. See my article co-written with Sidney Singer, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Coffee -- Are You A Caf-Feind? https://www.academia.edu/10217756/Dr_Jekyll_And_Mr_Coffee_Are_You_A_Caf-Fiend_ based on stats and data from https://www.statista.com and http://yourhomeworkhelp.org/do-my-statistics-homework/
