any recommendations that will improve the fit and the sound?

I bought the Logitech UE900 replacement cables for my SE 215's. not sure i would say they improved things sound wise but as far as fit goes they are a big improvement. Much more lightweight which allows the 215's to feel more comfortable and not move around in my ears. I got both the ones with the inline mic and controls for my iPhone 5 and the standard black ones as well. $40 shipped for both pairs.

A do wish they were a little shorter and had a cinch piece to tighten the fit but these are small quibbles and some people like the longer cord. Overall extremely happy with my purchase.

There is also an active thread going on right now with other more expensive suggestions. Worth checking out.
