Im going to visit my friend back in thailand this friday, and I am thinking of buying a headphone for him. He is a bass head and I think he usually listen to rock and pop. My budget is around 50-100$ thanks

The SRH440. Not the most bass, but it's very detailed FWIR.

But if he's a bass head, then buy some mainstream headphone. Those have much more bass than any "audiophile" brand.

Good idea, but his friend will (probably) not like the open design. He'll probably want the music to himself.

Oh, and look into the PK earbud series, like the PK2 (or the cheaper PK3). Both are very great and are a very popular design.

If he really likes an extremely large quantity of bass then the XB700s (or 500s) should be just fine.

+1 for the XB700's. They actually hold up quite well for rock.

Oh, come on. Get the Grado SR-60. Forget the "open" complaint. Any fan of rock and pop will be floored by a pair of Grados.

sorry.. but like someone above said, I think my friend will be using it when he is outside or at school so closed headphone will probably be better for him. The sony's headphone also looks like it have more bass and it also looks better.
