Since you can't really know how they sound like until you use them, can you buy a whole bunch and test each one and return all but the ones you like?

Would this pose a problem? For example would Amazon close down your account?

I lol'd at "heardphones"  Ha !!

Not sure but I have bought about 5-6 different headphones/headsets over the last year or so and returned them.  Amazon has refunded every one without a peep.

There have been reported cases of Amazon closing accounts down due to excessive returns but not just them... retailers as a whole are now keeping a closer eye on the return habits of consumers and tracking this just as a creditor would track your credit score. Just google "retailers monitoring returns".

Not sure where you are but might be best to visit a local store to test drive them in person with your own source if you can. In the end though, even if you purchased and sold at a slight loss, just chalk it up as a rental fee. You get the time to properly test the cans and the next person gets to pick it up nearly new for a discount.
