Yeah, fair enough. But I was talking more generally - is there a set of phones with that kind of signature? I head used HD600s (or maybe even new?) are in my price range...

You can afford those. I got my HD580's for $150 shipped to New Zealand. And they come cheaper. Keep an eye on the For Sale forums. They pop up quite often.
