Hi, i'm new here

I'm looking for some light music headphones around 40 quid.

I've tried sennheiser serie 200, many models and they all suck imo, they're light yeah, but they feel cheap n they're rly low n weak, and overpriced aswell.

Years ago i got my 1st sennheisers for around this price, they looked somewhat similar to HD 202, but the model i'm talking about is discontinued.
They lasted long time til i started having problems with sound cutting, due double wire..
Well they were the best sounding headphones i've ever had.

I wanna get something for listening music, mainly at home, but i want em to be light, and not like those hd 200 series which are just a rip off.

Best choices i found in my store were:
- Sennheiser HD 429/419 not sure if it's worth getting the 429 as they cost like 12 quid more..
- Akg K430
- Philips SHP8500
-Sennheiser px100 ii and hd 205 ii

The Philips SHP8500 (recommended) are great sounding headphones and they are well built.

+1 for them, but do you know if they work well with portable devices? i mean if they lose power or something.
I've heard marvelous things about those px100s which are meant to be portable but they look like some cheap public library computer headphones to me..

Philips SHE3580, (pictured in my avatar), costs about $10 with shipping, I prefer them over $200 headphones these days.  These are high sensitivity IEMs so won't lose power with portable devices.
 
You mentioned listening at home.  If you're listening out of your computer, I've got an equalization setup for these phones that I bet will make these phones absolutely floor you with their neutrality and detail... very comfortable too, with the supplied tips they just go in my ears and disappear...

Rly interesting. Actually i'm using some non branded in-ear earbuds similar to the ones u mentioned. Isolation is thousand times better than the one in most mid-high range closed headphones i've tried. I have a 90 dollars 5.1 headset, n they're heavy as fk, they don't isolate nothing and cannot be carried anywhere in home as they got a tip control and 4 jacks + 1 usb for power..
 
Only bad thing about these in-ear buds is that they get ear wax i know i should clean em more often, but my hair is long n it's tedious to clean em after shower.. xD also it's not hygienic to share em

I've seen some in-ear buds for 40 dollars and up.. more than 100 lol.. Those around 40$, are really that good or they are that pricey cos they include full adapter sets for iphone and other devices?

These buds (Etymotic ER-4P) cost ~$200 and are often regarded as some kind of gold standard in listening... worth every penny... if you don't need much bass.  I have these.
 
But these days I prefer my $10 SHE3580 to these so... dunno Like I said they sound really amazing to me.  Sometimes you get these really great phones for a bargain and it's hard to surpass them even with phones several times their price that are considered good even for their price
