my admittedly limited understanding is that Quantum Theory and Relativity both appear to be correct: Relativity works for all but the extremes... and Quantum Theory for the extremes.

as Stephen Hawking has written, there is yet to be a unified theory that can reconcile their differences.

As for Relativity vs Quantum Theory, what if QT was correct after all? Or what if they were both wrong?? A third grand theory has arrived on the scene, but is not well known as yet...
