I'd say 100ii & 120ii are more conventional where 240 is ground breaking. Not everyone likes the look of 240 though

Definitely! I'm off the DAP market for like... forever after the 240.. unless I sell if off down the road

I'm considering selling off my HD700 which I bought last year still new and unused to reduce my deficit
Was already planning to sell after I bought it to raise some funds, but with the coming 240 I'm tempted to keep it..

Lol I haven't fallen THAT far to even consider the 240 if I already had a -usd3,000 in my card..
I think headfi is a good hobby to get into when you're old with better financial stability...

btw did your ref. 1 cost $1900?

The shape of 240 is pretty unique and with strong character.  It is a very well built machine and with good attention to details.  Agreed that other devices with more conventional look would attract more buyers though.
