Brand Spanking New A&K AK120II and AK100II

If I had to guess what these are...

AK220, an AK240 stripped down to just be a usb dac and dap, retains balanced output
AK200, an AK220 that has two channels stripped to provide single ended output only

Which I'll be honest... is awesome for anyone who doesn't care about the AK240 feature set.  It also gives them a product to compete directly with the Calyx M.  And in AK tradition... it's odd looking :p

If the AK220 is priced about the same as the AK120 Titan, I'm probably gonna get one, liking the looks and the improved UI.

Personally i think the Titan with 128GB on board and 2 expansion slots gives you the best combination of portability and capacity.Having 2 slots means the next time the cards increase from 128 to 256 GB you will be able to make the Titan into a 640 GB unit!

True but when i used DAPS with smaller capacities i was using MP3's that took up very little space. Now that we are using lossless and Hi-Rez recordings on the new devices we need the capacity!I have 384GB on my Titan and it is full!

Oh I get it believe me..........I'm just saying........I have 310 GBs of the 384 used already.......well its a little less than 384 cause of the space the card and HD take.

I use my Titans with dual 128GB Micro SD's and I am sad to report that the lag is phenomenal.

i find very little lag when using my Titan with the 2 cards installed both full.In fact,I was surprised there wasnt and isnt more....It isnt the response time of an Ipod for sure but it does not hinder the experience at all for me.

my favorite... AK47 :D
still like the old ak100mk2 for its dimension. small and easy to hold
AK200 and AK220 seems bigger than ak240

Agreed, the (soon-to-be) older series has an advantage in form factor.
The AK200&220 is interesting and sleek looking but is about the same size as an AK240.

What is the memory of your cards that you use?

The lag was not that bad when I had these two cards were filled with music and inserted to the player.

But with these cards, the lag was very noticeable.

With the 64GB cards, to return from the album song list to the album list, the loading animation would make one and a half turns, with the 128turns, it would make almost 3 full turns (which is about 1.5-2 seconds) and this kind of takes the shine out of the whole experience of using the player.

These may make a used RWAK100 closer to my price range, so I don't mind if they release more products. I will say that I don't care for the large gap between the screen and the top too much - shouldn't the gap be at the bottom of the player? It seems like it's upside-down to me. I don't like the exposed volume knobs, either - I think they should go with either the AK120 or 240 design as far as those are concerned. Anyways, it will be good fun to read all of the impending displays of histrionics before and after they are released.
