I've been using Soundmagic E30 for more than a year. I am totally satisfied with the sound quality they provide but somehow not happy with the fit as they are too small to fit perfectly inside my ears. I am looking for an upgrade. Will Brainwavz R1 be better than E30?? Or they provide the same sound quality??

same the case with me. can anyone tell how r1 fare against e30? i like e30 a lot and would like to have something which has the same open and airy sound with better soundstage. i am open to try a different signature but soundstage has to be very wide and deep from iem standards. i am eyeing on vsonic gr06 as well. would you think it to be a decent upgrade over e30?

Give me few days guys,,,,got my E30 replaced n also got my new R1.
From initial impressions E30 is clear winner as far as Mids n Highs are concerned.
R1 wins in Bass department. It has depth n more capacity to handle boomy songs. E30 has more punchy bass but small nozzle is prevents to get proper bass(may b my ears r too big for E30)
Soundstage is almost similar but R1 still a tad ahead.
I'm waiting for both the earphones to burn-in. Will post in depth review later.
