But Hifimans while they have the bass detail, texture and extension, they don't really have the bass quantity to satisfy most bassheads. 
For electronic music I prefer my Momentum or vintage (original) DT 990.

Depends, I would say. Have some fun with an EQ and you can get very impressive bass, but some don't like to do that...

Agreed - when I EQ my beyers or momentum, sure it gets louder, but it starts to muddy quite quickly.
If I EQ my HE-500, I get a tonne of textured and detailed bass. There's no comparison.
