 They say you have a two-year warranty. Maybe try that? I do hope you can get a complete pair of DT-770s. Fantastic headphones if you can amp them well

Im european, so no warranty for me, im stuck with what i got...
i mean who did this and why... its even superglued together
on a related note though, how much does this impact the SQ?

Ooooh, you opened them up? I was under the impression that they came to you like that

 Maybe, instead of being manufacturer refurbished, they refurbished it themselves?

So other than the glue, you got a pretty normal one? Please clarify what the issue is (I assumed before that it came with the cups opened).

Oh no, i opened them up to mod them.
And yes, they look exactly like in that picture wes008 ^^
 
Im still under the impression it should look something like this though

what we have are both channels hardware downmixed to mono?(correct me if im wrong)
im just assuming since there seem to be 3 pins

 That picture was not of mine, mine has since been sold, but why do you think that there should be three wires? Are you thinking left/right/ground?

I dunno, most dt770s i saw were wired with 3 wires...

Glue is used to help keep the wire in place. Glue and solder.

About the bass, I think it's either a case of driver tweeking that has been going on at Beyerdynamic throughout the years that we haven't been notified about or hype that has snowballed from constant parroting of subjective reviews.

I wouldnt be suprised if this was the case
