The 2005 edition are the latest (99% sure on that). I would go with the DT990 Premium 600ohm though: Beyerdynamic | DT 990 Premium Open-Back Stereo Studio | 483966

$230 is very, very good

DT990?  Why is it head fi always reccomends at-home open-backed headphones to people who want a dre beats alternative? 
 
If you want to actually go outside B&W p5 will make you happy.

"They will be used mostly sitting at my computer and basically never out inpublic so looks is not important, noise cancellation is not important."
