I am to receive an amperior soon..Bought it around 150 on ebay..it has manufacturer's warranty but i am concerned because of this http://www.engadget.com/2013/04/19/man-sentenced-for-selling-counterfeit-headphones/..this does not seem to have got any attention here..or i may have missed it..anyways ..any thots??

I don't think there are any Amperior fakes yet, although you could've purchased a refurbished model. Refurbished just means there was a problem with it but it was fixed by the manufacturer and resold, they will sound exactly the same as the brand new model

We need more details: Where did you buy them? Can you take clear pictures of the headphones and the packaging?

what are ur opinions on that story though?... it was even covered by bbc.. I would think again buyin a headfone from ebay..scared me..coz i had bought ie 8 couple of years ago..they sounded good but thot were not worth the RRP but broke soon..and inconclusively thot they were fake..hope it wont happen again.
