Bose Triport Alternatives

May 4, 2007 at 2:38 AM Post #16 of 22
Umm...basically, I like the look of a simple cup over my ear, like the Bose Triport, or the Panasonic ones. I don't like any funky designs, humongous logos, or anything looking huge. Like for example, I don't like the design of the Sony v6, but I like the mdr-d-777. Also, audio quality is not really a big deal.

(the cup is good, but I could do without the metal retro look, but I could live with it)

I'm not really caring about sound quality, just mainly simple looks and price($40 range).

Okay, I see what you are aiming at, clean-cut look, no weird things popping out and not walking around with the brand name written in bold letters.

The aforementioned eH150 is a very small headphone compared to anything else posted on this forum. As well is the HD201, but those are not closed headphones.

Those Panasonics also seem to be getting positive remarks on Head-Fi, so those are probably the ones to get.

Or:
Coby CV191

Coby CV192

Coby CV193 (the spaceship look is in)

Cyber Acoustics ACM-8440 (the word "Acoustics" makes them seem to be halfway decent!)

For that kind of money you're willing to spend, KSC75 is the only phones you'd get that's good quality. They range from $10-$25 depending if you get a good deal or not, I bought it for $24, but some claimed they got them for $10 from RadioShack when they have some sort of clearance sales. But bear in mine, these are not circumaural.
