I really doubt that Bose is even spending much R&D money on speakers/headphones. Most of their speaker systems have been around for at least 10 years now. They just use the marketing clout the Bose name has to sell audio equipment to those who don't know better.

If Bose did rebrand Shures, I am sure there would then be threads from people who "swear" it sounds worse than stock buds.
