Blood donations

Peter: we don't get money for it either. I think what they meant was that the red cross was taking monetary donations and misusing them. We do get free cookies and juice though....
As for the sperm bank, well you do get money there, but that is a different thing.

I used to give blood.

First time ever, I got dragged in almost kicking and screaming. And for good reason too... I had a real fear of needles and I passed out in there at the end of my session. Had to spend two hours laid down before they'd let me go home

I the gave blood every 6 months or so and I even have a special donators tie pin for having donated on 10 occasions.

In 1998, I became diabetic and they will no longer accept my blood because of the imbalance of the blood glucose levels and the presence of insulin there I suppose.

I would really like to donate but they just won't accept it.

I do however have regular blood samples taken on each visit to my Diabetes Specialist (Endocrinologist). I also have to have four injections a day now so any fear of needles that I once had disappeared long ago.

I don't worry about needles now. Just part of everyday life as far as i'm concerned.

That's for sure.

It would be a crime.

Peter.

If releasing sperm was a crime, I would have been on death row many times.
